Prizes

The MACHS programme offers several scholarships and awards to recognize outstanding students.

Before admission:

• The “Faculty of Arts Scholarship for Local Students”(本地中學教師獎學金) will be awarded to eligible local students with up to a 20% rebate on the tuition fee. It shall be disbursed in two installments, each up to 10% of the tuition fee. The first installment shall be disbursed upon the student's admission to the TPg programme, and the second installment shall be disbursed upon the completion of the TPg programme.
• The MA in Chinese Historical Studies Entrance Scholarship (中國歷史研究文科碩士入學獎學金) will be awarded to 5 students who obtained their bachelor’s degree with the first-class honours, or to those who obtained the highest CGPA when they graduated from a recognized university. Each awardee will receive HKD$10,000. Programme applicants with conditional offers are also eligible for the Scholarship if their graduation grades meet the above requirements.

After admission:

• The MA in Chinese Historical Studies Prize (中國歷史研究文科碩士獎) will be awarded to 3 students who obtained an overall distinction and the highest CGPA. The Prize is HKD$10,000 each.
• The MA in Chinese Historical Studies Alumni Scholarship (中國歷史碩士課程同學會獎學金) will be awarded to 1 student who obtained the overall highest scores. The Scholarship is HKD5,000.
