The School of Chinese is part of the Faculty of Arts, which is ranked among the best in world university rankings:

• 2^nd in Asia and 14^th in the world for Arts and Humanities in the U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities 2025, the only one Asian university to have made it into the top 30 this year among 250 universities worldwide.
• 4^th in Asia and 1st in Hong Kong in Arts and Humanities in the Times Higher Education World University Subject Rankings 2025.
